Galvanised Metal Mesh Lath - 2500 X 700mm

Galvanized Metal Mesh Lath / Metal Lathing / Dimpled Self-Furring Galvanized Steel Lath is used as a substrate for gypsum plaster or for Portland cement plaster stucco on exterior or interior walls. Manufactured with approximately 1/4" deep dimples that are spaced every 1-1/2" o.c. over the entire 27" x 96" rectangular sheet: this pattern holds lath away from solid surfaces like cement board, masonry, old surfaces, etc... & enables the plaster to penetrate fully bond. To maintain the designed furring characteristics, fasteners must be applied in the dimple cavity.

Expanded Metal Lathing is mainly used as a key for internal and external plaster when applied on suspended ceilings and walls. It is also suitable for encasing steel columns and beams, assisting in the protection from fire. In external applications and where there is regular exposure to moisture, heavy condensation, persistent damp or concern that drying out times may be extended, stainless steel should be used.
